Cool conveyor system for Ice Cream Factory

Arnott Conveyors completed the manufacture, installation and commissioning of a stainless steel conveyor system for an Ice Cream factory in Cwmbran. It comprised three automatic in feed systems collating ice cream tubs of various sizes from the filling lines and cross transferring them in rows by automatic pushers into three 2.5 metre wide tunnel freezers.

The tubs are then accepted from the freezer tunnel out feeds and transferred to the carton picking machines.

Cartons are labeled, turned through 180º on powered roller conveyor bends and then elevated on inclined belt conveyors to merge units at high level. These merge units allow cartons to enter the 60 metre long high level powered roller conveyor system that carries the products through to the cold room for palletizing. Three more inclined conveyors and merge units join the high level system on route to the cold store, via a Bradman Lake cartoning machine and from hand packing operations.

The combined six lines of cartons are transferred through a tunnel into the cold room then a declined belt conveyor transfers onto low level gravity roller conveyors for palletizing.
